Kids Ask the Darnedest Things, Part 2

Oh my word.

Ready for Part 2 of THIS saga?

Because I wasn't!!!
Here it goes....

As I was getting my bathing suit on to go swimming, Kate walks into our dressing area.
(I am in the middle of changing)

She walks in and exclaims this as she sees me changing:

Kate: "Oh! I get it! I came out of this hole (pointing to my left breast) and Claire came out of that hole (pointing to my right)

Me: (trying not to laugh) Umm, no those aren't the holes you came out of........

Kate: Hmmm. Well, hurry up and get your bathing suit on, it's time to go swimming.

Me: Yes, Kate...Let's go swimming. Now.
(so I don't have to continue yet another awkward conversation)
Seriously. Where does she come up with this stuff?
She has seen me shower/change before (and, both girls were nursed for a year), so it's not like she was seeing something new.
This girl sure is keeping me entertained.
Can't wait to see what she comes up with next...

  1. and i'm glad you blog about it so you can remember forever! :)
kate will hate you for it one day! ha ha

  2. OH boy. You're going to have to get a book or something. :)

    So funny though!

  3. Aww, that's really funny- and cute! My 1-year-old recently noticed that Daddy looks different than she does "down there", seeing him get ready for the shower, and we've had some pretty funny situations.

  4. She is a hoot!

Try this one on for size - earlier tonight, as I was getting Alexandra ready for bed, she patted my chest and asked, "Where'd Mommy's boobies go?" My sweet child then proceeded to pull my t-shirt collar from my neck, look down my shirt, giggle, and say, "There's Mommy's boobies!"

    I kid you not...

  5. Oh my goodness...that is completly hilarious.

  6. HA HA HA!!! She is on a roll :) My 3yo sneaks a peek any chance he can get lately..and then says "I see your chee chees!"

  7. oh my gosh! what a character! i'm afraid of those days already!!!! how uncomfortable..YIKES! you did a good job:)

  8. what a cutie...and they do say the darnedest things...this morning at breakfast...i was told this...

k: i had a baby last night come out of my tummy and she cried all night.
m: today i have 64 babies in my tummy!

really, 64 babies in your tummy!

  9. hahahaha!! she is a very creative little girl! :)

  10. Oh my gosh! That is seriously hilarous!!!
