Claire is 9 months old

My baby is 9 months old!?!

How can this be? It has gone by WAY too fast.

This means I need to start thinking about her 1st birthday BLOWOUT BASH party.

Auntie Becks came by today and wished you Happy 9 months. She said, "Claire is a whole school year old!". This is true. I had you 2 weeks after school started in September and in 2 days this school year will be over. I can't believe how fast it has flown by. So crazy!

You had your 9 month appointment today.
You weigh 16 lbs 4 ounces (10th %)
(this is how much Kate weighed at a year!)
You are 28 inches long (75th %)
You got one vaccination and didn't even make a peep! The nurse (and I) were so proud of you!

At your appointment, Dr. H said that you had the best disposition.
He was very happy with your verbal & physical skills.
He said you were very social & he could tell you love interacting with people!

Dr. H loved seeing Kate interact with you at the appointment.
He asked Kate if she wanted to listen to your heart with the stethoscope.
Kate said no (not surprised). I told him that Kate was still scarred from her EKG and Echo cardiogram from last summer & that she feared the stethoscope. Dr. H was so kind and GAVE us a stethoscope to take home for Kate to use on her dolls. When we got in the car, Kate said she was going to listen to Claire's heart when we got home. (and she did!)

Claire is a mover. She is into EVERYTHING she can get her hands on. She mastered pulling to a stand 2 weeks ago & that is ALL she wants to do these days. She will pull up on anything and everything!

Claire has been army crawling for over a month and sporadically crawls using her knees about a quarter of the time. She is a FAST army crawler!

Claire has 2 bottom teeth & her top 4 teeth will probably be coming through in the next few weeks. Her poor upper gums are so swollen! This hasn't affected her happy demeaner or her sleep patterns, she is still pretty much sleeping through the night.
(I just need to make myself go to bed earlier....)

Claire is still one of the happiest, go luckiest babies EVER.
She rarely cries & always has a big smile on her face. She brings so much joy to our lives. She adores her sister and Kate adores her. If you leave the room, Claire will scoot after you & follow you into the next room. She just loves being around people and will smile at anyone and everyone.

We love you Claire Bear & can't believe how quickly you are growing up!
