10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

Enjoying some coffee outside by the pool & by myself because both girls slept in today until 9:30!
Someone's finally up & ready for breakfast!
Sunflowers make me happy.
Bike ride to swim lessons:
Both girls are becoming great little swimmers & pool safe. Such a relief!
My lunch after swimming. When I am pregnant I crave steak like no one's business. Tri-Tip sandwich with BBQ sauce & sharp cheddar cheese. So good. And, watermelon, of course.
Our neighbors got flocked last night, the girls thought it was hysterical.
Taking a break from the pool (over 100 degrees today!) & having some otter pops!
Blue Otter Pops > any other flavor.
Dinner for tonight. I made my yummy lasagna (which I need to blog!) I used fresh basil & oregano from my garden.
I was being adventurous & I used zucchini from our garden instead of noodles.
Hope it tastes okay, it's in the oven now & smells delicious!
**Edited at 9:00 pm....The zucchini lasagna was AMAZING!!! Recipe coming soon!***

We are headed back in the pool to cool off while dinner finishes cooking.... it was a hot one today.
(and cooking something in my oven is making my house even hotter!)

Hope you had a great 10th!

  1. My younger daughter is a crazy wild sleeper too. Looks like you had a great day ~ that lasagna looks so yummy!

  2. Came over from "a bit of sunshine"...

Great pics! The one of your daughter holding the plate up is too cute.

  3. I so wish I could remember to do this. I love it. I teach also and during the summer I don't even know what day of the week it is!

  6. Great set Mel. I just love that one of Kate and her plate :)

  7. I have the same mug! (Except with an H...) Our youth group used to flock people. I totally forgot about that until now.

  8. What a fun idea to "flock" your neighbors/ friends. I may have to start this in our little area :)

  9. I love the flock idea! Now if only I had a front yard. :)

  12. I love 10 on 10! I have a granddaughter who is a crazy sleeper ... Love your pics ... oh to have coffee by the pool! Thanks for sharing! :)

  13. I craved steak with EmmyKate. I have heard that it is because your body is low on iron and it is telling you that you need it.

  14. i am so glad you like the blue otter pops. because that means more red and pink for me.

also. green ones are dead to me.

also, also. i think a house on my run got flocked last month. it's in this super fancy neighborhood and i was like um...that is hilarious. :)

    LOVE IT!

  15. i have always wanted to flock or be flocked. fun!

i use lasagna in place of noodles regularly now. delicious and so good for you.

i ate watermelon all day long when i was prego.

  16. i made zucchini lasagana a few week ago and slice the zucchini to thick. fail!

  17. Ashlyn's school flocks for a fundraiser and it's my favorite one all year.

Not a fan of otter pops because the plastic cuts the inside of my cheeks. Am I the only weirdo that this happens to?

And I want that sandwich. And I have no good excuse.

  18. I have crazy sleepers too...hope the cough is better. I really need to get one of those mugs because I am in love...yay for getting some quiet time. Look at your girls doing well with their swimming...that's awesome. I want a bite of your sandwich...just sayin. The blue IS the best :)

  19. Your lunch looks delicious! We're all about the popsicles these days too. And sleeping in till 9:30? Sign me up please! :)

  20. Your photos are so vibrant and colorful and so so so summery! When I saw the photo of the otter pops it immediately brought me back to when I was a kid. Great set!
