Kreativ Blogger

Last week I got tagged by Heather and also by Tegan for the Kreativ Blogger Award.
Thanks for the blog love!
This week has been crazy busy & I am just now getting around to posting about it.
Better Late than Never, right?
Here are the rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people may not know.
5. Nominate Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to the blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they’ve been nominated

So 7 things...here we go.

1. I hate mayonnaise. I can have it mixed into things, but if I see it plain it makes me gag.

2. I have a bizarre memory & if you tell me your birthday, I will never forget it.

3. I can walk on my hands the length of a basketball court.

4.
When I graduated from University of Colorado, I held 12 school records for the soccer team. I only hold 1 of them now.

5.
I did not like being pregnant. Both my pregnancies were IDENTICAL. I had morning sickness starting at 6 weeks exactly that lasted until 22 weeks. I threw up 2-3 times a day and was nauseous all day. It was miserable.

6.
I have really long arms. I am 5'9", but my wing span is over 6 feet long. I also have long fingers. 2 times in my life strangers have approached me & asked me if I was a hand model.

7. I don't know how to drive a stick shift. Kevin *tried* to teach me when we were dating. It did not go well & I still don't know how to drive a stick shift.

If you want to know even more random-ness about me, click on this POST.

So, now I am tagging:
Angie
(friend from college)
Becky (friend from church)
Kristin (friend I work with)
Shannon
(childhood friend)
Wendy (friend & Kevin's friend from childhood)

  1. Yes! Better late than never! I'm cracking up over your list. I can't stand mayo either-- even mixed in stuff it makes me gag. I'm 5' 9" too... I wonder how long my wingspan is? I'm going to have to have Tage measure that, hahaha. And oh my goodness if my grandpa was alive to read that you can't drive a stick he would be on his way down there to teach you. I was only allowed to drive a stick when I learned. In his words, "If you can drive a stick you can drive anything." That memory made me smile. :)

Now I'm off to go check out the other blogs!

Thank you for the encouraging comments as these last few weeks as our little one was struggling so much!! It meant so much to know how many people were thinking of us!

  3. Kathryn - I am sensing some doubt about Mels ability to do #3.

As Mel's husband I think this is a good challenge. Perhaps the phrase "used to be able to" should be in there.

When we were dating we had a competition to see who could walk on our hands further. Mel schooled me big time. However that was over 8 years ago. How about it, Mel???

  4. Oooh, thanks! Sometimes I wonder if I'm boring!? I am itching to just make my blog public, at least I'd have more than a measly 5 followers! Not that you're measly, you comment more than my family ;) I guess the others who were tagged can keep the tag going-no one will be able to click on mine, bummer!

  5. I have the same birthday thing. Its a blessing and a curse. WHY do I still want to know when someone that I went to highschool with (and didn't even like) is having a birthday.

I'm totally impressed that you broke soccer records, and so many!

I've applied for the NILMDTS...I was so touched by your story and the idea of the program. Not sure if I will meet the qualifications, but I'd love to help if they'll have me!

  6. MEL! I finally posted the award on my blog today. So fun! Thanks for the nomination. With tears in my eyes, I accept. ;)

I can relate to your #2. I used to be that way with license plates. It was so strange. But one morning I woke up and BAM! I couldn't remember any of them. I was kind of relieved because it was really annoying to have them running in my mind all the time. I don't even know my own license plate now. I can only remember one, and it's a guy who my parents forbid me to date: DAJ-035. Funny, huh? :)
