Get Pin-spired #22

Happy 2015!
I hope you all had a great Christmas & New Years!
Ours was a blast, we spent the week after Christmas in Lake Tahoe.
Lots of snowy weather which I love and is so different than the warm winter weather we have in the Bay Area!
Today, it's time to Get Pin-Spired with me & Sheaffer
Shay is in China right now bringing home their daughter, so she isn't linking up with us this month!
I have a few looks for this month's Pin-Spired!

Outfit #1
Polka Dot Dress & Brown Boots
I saw 2 pins that caught my eye:
My recreation:
Dress // Leggings // Boots (which are 20% off right now!!)

These were all things I had in my closet!!

 Outfit #2
Lace Shirt, Black pants, Brown boots, Gold Necklace
Pin:
I was browsing Pinterest for ideas for what I should wear for our Family Photos.
I had everyone else's outfits picked out except mine.
I wanted to be neutral, but coordinate with everyone else since we didn't have a matchy-matchy theme going on.
I saw this pin and knew it would look good for our photos....and I had it all in my closet!
Here is my outift:
Shirt // Pants // Boots // Necklace (Premier)

I love how my outfit ties into Kate's lace dress :)

Outfit #3
Lace Dress, black leggings, brown boots
Pin:

I had this pinned and when my December Stich Fix came, I was SO excited to see this dress:
It was a green lace dress! I was so excited! Perfect to wear on Christmas Eve!
That is what I love about Stitch Fix...when you sign up for Stitch Fix, you link your Pinterest Boards to them so that know what styles you like. This dress was perfect!
Dress // Leggings // Boots // Necklace (Stella + Dot) // Earrings // Bracelets

This is my 9th month doing Stitch Fix and I am obsessed with it. It is so fun to see what arrives each month. And, you aren't obligated to keep any of it! It comes with a free shipping envelope for you to send back the items you don't want. You don't have to do it every month, you can customize it to how you want it...every other month, every 2 months, every 3 months, etc.

I think it's so funny that a few years ago I wouldn't dare wear brown boots with black clothing.
Now, I won't dare wear black boots with black clothing because it's too much black & I just love how brown boots go with black clothing!

Outfit #4
Sequins!!!
I was looking for ideas to wear with my black sequin shirt that I got a few years ago.
The girls wore red sequin skirts for Christmas dinner and they wanted me to wear my black sequin shirt with them so we would all be wearing sequins.
So many sequin options out there, I saw 2 pins that worked with what I have in my closet:
Pin #1:
Pin #2
Both pins showed the black sequin shirt with black flats & chunky jewelery. I would have never paired a sequin shirt with a statement necklace because I orginally would have thought it would be "too much" going on. But, I tired it & I loved it!
I kept it simple with black leggings & black flats.
My outfit:
Shirt // Pants // Flats (Christmas Gift) // Necklace // Bracelets
This is what I wore for Christmas dinner, it would also be a great outfit for a Christmas party or NYE party!

And, my final outfit was for the 80's Christmas Party we went to.
It was kind of Pin-Spired, a few weeks before the party, I went on Pinterest to check out 80's holiday dresses to get an idea of what I should wear (since I was only a kid during the 80s)
This is one of the images that came up:
Kelly & Brenda's prom dresses!
It was the 90's, but I knew I could find something similar.
I went on Ebay & guess what I got for $20?
The same velvet dress, but with a red bow!
Perfect!

Pinterest really does come in handy! So does Ebay :)
I added blue eye shadow, a side pony & a scrunchie to make it more like the 80's. So fun!

So, there you have it! My Pin-Spired looks for this month!
