STRANDED! {Medicine Cabinet Edition}

Today's topic is what 3 items from your medicine cabinet would you bring if you were stranded on a deserted island?

It didn't take me long to decided what 3 items to bring!

{ONE}

My toothbrush!

We have THIS toothbrush & it's awesome. 

I'm assuming I have electricity on the deserted island. LOL! ;)

We have been using an electric toothbrush like this for over 10 years.

I am all about electric toothbrushes...my college roommate is a dentist and she also swears by them!

They last forever, you just have to replace the brush part every few months!

{TWO}

As you know, I love my Rodan + Fields, so I would absolutely want my Reverse Regimen if I was stranded. I use Reverse every morning and our Redefine line at night, but the reason I chose Reverse is because it gets rid of sun damage and fine lines/wrinkles. 

The Reverse wash is an exfoliating face wash, and you know on the beach your skin gets dried out, so I would want to exfoliate!

Plus, the SPF for our Reverse line is an SPF 50, so if I was on an island I am assuming it is hot weather & I would want maximum coverage. Plus, I could use the SPF 50 on the rest of my body for sunscreen also. 

I would want to bring my Redefine overnight cream and our eye cream also ;)

I knew I wanted something that would help with chapped lips and dry skin. 

Hello....to my go to for this.....Aquaphor. 

This has been stocked in our house & has been since Kate was a baby.

We have a tub like this one in our medicine cabinet.

It protects skin to help prevent and soothe chafing, blisters, dry or chapped skin resulting from wind burn, cold or dry air.....perfect for a deserted island!
Smooths cuticles and protects to help heal dry, cracked hands or heels....nothing worse than cracked heels...put this on your heels at night & then put on socks!
It also protects to help heal minor cuts, scrapes and burns....we used this sometimes when our kids had diaper rashes.

Our kids also use this at night if they have chapped or dry lips.

They call it "Aqua".

On Sunday, the 10th, it was our last day of Spring Break.
We went to church on Saturday Night & had 1 final lazy Spring Break morning on Sunday.
I made cinnamon rolls...a couple years ago on Pinterest I saw someone cook cinnamon rolls with their waffle maker instead of the morning, so I decided to finally try it out.
You spray the waffle maker with cooking spray & then cook in the waffle maker for 3-4 minutes.

 It was fun to try it out. They cooked must faster than in the oven, but they didn't rise as much.

 It was a rainy Sunday, so the girls played some Wii.

I did some reading & enjoyed my 2nd cup of coffee. I started reading Pretty Baby on Thursday...finished it on Sunday afternoon. It was fantastic!

I read her other book The Good Girl a few weeks ago...loved it also!

The Giants were playing the Dodgers this weekend, one of our neighbors went to the game Saturday & they were handing out these flags...he got one for us. We hung it up on the mantle for Sunday's game :)

For lunch I had scrambled eggs with some cheddar cheese and fresh salsa. YUM.

 Kevin was doing some yard work & taking down a fence, so I went to check it out and noticed how pretty the blossoms were on my tree...Spring has sprung in our yard...lots of blooms everywhere!

 There was a slight break in the rain, so I went on a quick 3 mile run!

Later in the afternoon I was packaging up some mini facial samples that have our microderm paste, night serum & lip serum. Love our mini facial sample!

Then, I got ready and headed to the Carrie Underwood concert with my older sister!
One of her clients has a suite and they gave her 2 tickets, so she asked if I wanted to go. Ummmm, YES!

 The concert was AWESOME! I love Carrie Underwood! Such a fun show. The last concert I went to was U2...way back in 2011, so it was fun going to a concert! I love concerts!

I didn't get home until midnight...it was a late night for the last night of Spring Break, but totally worth it! YOLO!

There you have it, a snapshot of my 10th....it was a good, productive & fun day....perfect ending to Spring Break.

Last Friday was the official start of Spring Break.

My 3rd quarter grades are due the day we get back from Spring Break, but I did not want to deal with ANY grading over break, so I stayed and got everything graded and submitted. 

Such a great feeling.

Hello.......a little R&R in Pebble Beach.

Thankful for one of my Dad's clients who has a house in Pebble Beach.

The kids and I headed to Pebble Beach earlier this week for a few days with my parents. 

The weather was beautiful. If you've never been to Pebble Beach/Carmel/Monterrey, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Hello....March Madness Winner!

The Championship game was on Monday night...I had 3 of the 4 Final Four teams and I had both Villanova & UNC going to the Finals with UNC winning. 

No one in our pool had Villanova winning, so I won the our pool! 

 Did you watch the game on Monday night?

That was one of the most exciting Championship games I have EVER seen. 

WOW! A buzzer beater to win the National Championship.

Congrats, Villanova!

Hello.....Spring Cleaning.

Here is my list of things to clean out & to do this week. 

 I've only gotten through a few of them so far. The good news is that we are supposed to get rain the next couple of days, so I am hoping to get through the rest of my list.

Hello....Favorite Pajamas!

Now that Spring is here & the weather is warming up, I am not wearing fleece pj's anymore, I am wearing my favorite light weight & comfortable pj's.

 I wear them throughout Spring & Summer and into the Fall!

They are long enough for my long legs! I am 5'9 and size small is long enough! It's a miracle!

They are soooo soft. Not flannel, but a nice jersey material, I got 2 pairsbecause it is rare that I find pajama's long enough that don't shrink when I wash & dry them.

Plus, they have pockets.

Hello.....Baseball Season!

Is anyone else excited about the start of Baseball season?

We love the SF Giants & it's an even year....hoping we continue our World Series winning streak for the past 3 even years! How fun would that be? 

 On my bucket list was going to a World Series game that the Giants were playing in. I was able to cross that off my bucket list in 2010 and in 2014

Hello.....Gilmore Girls!

Did you see the photos that Entertainment Weekly posted today about a sneak peek into the new season?!?! AHHHHH!!!!!

I CAN'T WAIT to watch on Netflix.....looks like Luke & Loralei are still together!

 And....did you hear?!?! Melissa McCarthy will be back as Sookie! She just announced it on Ellen!

So, so, excited! Now, I wish Netflix would announce when they are going to air the new episodes!

So many "Hello's" on this post......and now it's time to say Good-bye.

Goodbye.....American Idol.

I have watched every season of American Idol.

The first season was in 2002 and I watched the first finale when we were in Hawaii on our honeymoon.

Did you watch this season? I thought there was a lot of talent.

My favorites were Dalton & La'Porsha. 

 I thought Dalton was going to make it to the finals...I was wrong :)

I thought La'Porsha was going to win! 

I was surprised that Trent won, but I am very happy for him...he is so talented as well.

Can't believe American Idol is over. End of an Era for sure.
