What's Up Wednesday :: March 2016

It's the last Wednesday of the month, that means it's time for our What's Up Wednesday Link Up!

Link up with  me, Sheaffer & Shay the LAST Wednesday of each month so we can read about What's Up with YOU!

Here we go!

What I'm Reminiscing about.....
Since we have Spring Break, I am reminiscing about last Spring Break which is when I potty trained Luke. It has been so nice to have a diaper free house! He still wears a Pull Up at night (the girls never wore a pull up for a year after they were potty trained) but the past month or so, he has had dry pull ups in the morning. So thankful that I don't have to spend this Spring Break potty training a kid, that was NOT fun!

 What I'm loving.....
Rodan + Fields Eye Cream!
I know that some of you missed out on my last bulk order in December, so I am going to place ANOTHER bulk order next Friday April 9th.
I started using the eye cream right after Luke was born and WOW, it got rid of the bags under my eyes that I had from lack of sleep with a newborn.

Our  Multi-Function Eye Cream combines powerful peptides to minimize the appearance of crow’s-feet, helps reduce the appearance of both puffiness and dark under eye circles while special optical diffusers noticeably brighten the eye area.
Ophthalmologist tested, this formula is ideal for maintaining the delicate skin around the eyes.

This brave consultant only used the eye cream on one eye for 3 weeks!
It's less puffy & she doesn't have bags under that eye!

I will be placing a BULK order of our amazing eye cream next Friday April 9th
For my bulk order, you can get it with my discount and it will only cost you $58 and I will cover your tax & shipping!
One jar lasts me at least 4-5 months.
Let me know if you want to order one! Leave a comment with your email or email me: melissa_larson17@yahoo.com

What We've been up to.....
Earlier this month we had a wedding in Pismo Beach, so Kevin & I had a quick weekend away.
 I love Pismo Beach...so pretty!
The wedding was really fun also!

My dress {HERE}

The rest of the month all 5 of us were sick at some point with coughs/colds/sinus infections.

This past weekend I ran the Livermore Half Marathon
My sister Elyse & brother in law Jason also ran it!

It was such a GREAT race running through the Livermore wine country, vineyards and green rolling hills.

I somehow managed to PR and took 1 minute off my time, finishing at 1:49:27 which is an 8:22 pace. I will absolutely do this race again next year!
This was the shirt we got along with our wine barrel medal & wine glass. After the race they had wine tasting, beer tasting & a band.
Can't believe this was my 3rd half marathon in 5 months...so glad I got back into running!

What I'm Dreading.....
I am dreading that this Friday is April Fools Day & it's also the last day of school before Spring Break. If you are a teacher, you know how crazy the day before Spring Break is. And, being a middle school teacher means the kids will be extra crazy because it's April Fools Day.
 UGH.
I always like it when April Fools Day is on a weekend or falls during Spring Break so I don't have to deal with it. Can I get an Amen?

What I'm Working On.....
The 3rd Quarter for school ends this Friday & our grades are due the Monday we get back from Spring Break.
I am working on grading tests & getting all my grades submitted before Spring Break next week!
I do not want to have any grading hanging over my head!

What I'm Watching........

 March Madness:
We have watched SO much college basketball this month.
I love this time of year!
I have 3 of the 4 Final Four teams left in my bracket! I am currently tied for 1st :)
Who do you want to win?

Because of all the March Madness we are watching, I am behind on my TGIT shows...Grey's, How to Get Away with Murder & Scandal. I have a bunch on my DVR!

What I'm Reading.....
I read 4 books this month. All of them were totally unique & different.

I have enjoyed & would recommend each book I have read this month!

All the Light We Cannot See

Catching Air

The Middle Place

The Good Girl

LOVED this book. Favorite book I read in March :)

I just started The Secret of the Midwives last night. So far so good!

What I'm Listening to.....
I listen to Pandora Top Hits on my runs.
Some of my favorite songs lately are from Sia.
Did you see her on American Idol last week?
She is interesting...but she is so talented!
Love her voice & songs!

I really like her songs "Elastic Heart" and "Chandelier"

What I'm Wearing.....
Spring has officially arrived here in California, so I am wearing layers.
Jeans,  Tops, Lightweight Sweaters & Lightweight jackets along with Booties or Flats.

Here are a few of my favorite outfits from this month:
Sweater Stitch Fix  // Necklace // Black Jeans // Booties

Jacket & Shirt Stitch Fix // Jeans // Booties // Watch // Necklace (Stella & Dot)

Last Christmas, I used my gift cards that I got and got these flats.
I usually buy shoes a Target, but once or twice a year I will get a "nicer" pair.
With teaching, I am on my feet for hours each day and these flats are worth the extra $ (especially if you have a gift card!)
They feel like slippers!

 Shoes from {HERE} or {HERE
I have them in 2 colors now....black and tan. They are the best flats EVER.

Here is another one of my go-to Spring outfits:

 Jacket // Shirt // Pants // Scarf // Flats

What I’m doing this weekend.....
We have my Uncle's 70th Birthday Party and we also have a court Block Party/Cornhole Tournament for my neighbor's birthday.

What I'm Looking Forward to next month.....
Being on Spring Break the first week of April!

Can you tell I am ready for a week off school?!?

I am also excited for Baseball Season!!!
It's an even year, so that means it a year for the SF Giants to win the World Series....we have won in 2010, 2012 & 2014.

We are huge Giants fans. Love it when baseball season starts!

I am also looking forward to a trip to Yosemite:

What else is new.....
I earned an Ipad mini from Rodan + Fields! This is in addition to our commission! #bestgigever
I could have chosen an Ipad mini or an Apple Watch, but I thought I would get more use out of the Ipad mini, I didn't think I would wear the Apple Watch.

Question of the month is:
What Spring Cleaning tips do you have?
In years past, I have done 40 Bags in 40 Days during Lent.
You can read my tips HERE and all my 40 Bags in 40 Days updates HERE
I didn't do it this year or last year during Lent, but what I am planning on doing  next week during Spring Break is purging closets, etc.
I got THIS book in January:
I am going to start reading it this weekend & start purging.

I have had friends who have read it & say it is really good, but also a little crazy. So, I am going to take it with a grain of salt. But I am excited to read & get rid of stuff!

Have you read it? I would love to hear your thoughts/opinions!
