Kate's Painting Party

Kate turned 11 last week and we celebrated with a Painting Party on Friday night.
One of our friends creates wooden signs from recycled fence boards (you have probably seen some of her art work around my house) She holds Moms Night Out Classes where we create our own items and the past year she started doing birthday parties. Kate loves all the pieces that she makes & loves the pieces that I have made when I go to her Mom's Night Out events, so when Kate found out we could do her birthday party there, she was so excited. Kate loves all things crafty, so it was perfect.
She wanted the color theme to be pastels and she wanted me to make aprons so that her friends wouldn't get paint on their clothes. I bought the aprons & then personalized each apron by sewing on an initial that I cut out with fabric.
I got the aprons HERE & I found the fabric at Hobby Lobby, it was a fat quarter bundle & looked liked water color paint...perfect for the party!
I havne't sewn in years, it felt good to bust out my sewing machine again!
The first part of the party was at the Warehouse where the classes are held. After we painted we headed back to our house for pizza & cake.
Here are the aprons set up on the table along with each girls board & supplies:

For the decorations, I printed all my signs on brown colored cardstock to give it the rustic feel.
For the straws & forks, I put them in empty decorative paint cans to go with the theme.
Creative Juices for the drink menu :)
I made a few signs to put on the table. Love this one:
The Snack table included Fruit Cups:
 Painter's Booty.....aka Pirates Booty:
Kettle Corn:
 Paint Chips....aka Sun Chips:
All the snacks:

There were stencils & paints for the girls to use:
The girls were in heaven with all these supplies!
Each girl got a wood palate & their initial stencil and then they could add whatever stencils they wanted.
Kate is happiest when she is creating :)
The girls were so focused on their art work.
The finished products...I loved all the creativity and how different they were.
Then we headed back to our house for pizza and cake!
I had a few decorations up at the house as well.
Kate loves tissue balls.
You know I love a dessert table :)

For the dessert table, we also had Brownie Palettes:
 I got the fondant toppers {HERE}

 Rice Krispy Paint Brushes:
 Fruit Puffs:
The feature of the dessert table is always the cake that my mother in law makes.
Kate wanted a Paint Can for the cake with paint (frosting) spilling over it.
Kate helped my mother in law design the cake & it was exactly what Kate wanted :)
For favors, the girls got to bring home their artwork & aprons and I also had palette cookies for them:
You know I am all about giving cookies as party favors :)
 Look how cute!
I got the cookies {HERE}

Kate had so much fun at her party....that is what it's all about!
Can't believe she is 11 years old!!!

  6. I'm so excited right now, I just have to share my testimony on this Forum.. The feeling of being loved takes away so much burden from our shoulders. I had all this but I made a big mistake when I cheated on my wife with another woman  and my wife left me for over 4 months after she found out..  I was lonely, sad and devastated. Luckily I was directed to a very powerful spell caster Dr Emu who helped me cast a spell of reconciliation on our Relationship and he brought back my wife and now she loves me far more than ever.. I'm so happy with life now. Thank you so much Dr Emu, kindly Contact  Dr Emu Today and get any kind of help you want..
