I don't think I can put into words how much I love Fall.
I LOVE it.
Love, love, love.
October is my favorite month.
I wish my birthday was in October.
I wish my anniversary was in October.
I love everything about this month.
I love the changing of the weather, the mums, the fall colored leaves, the pumpkins.
I love the crisp air, crunch of the leaves, wearing boots & scarves and the smell of the Fall air.
October is the gateway to the Holiday Season & it makes me SO happy.
Over the weekend, I got out all my Fall Decorations & made our house Fall-ish.
Every year I wait until October 1st to decorate, I just can't get out the Fall decorations before then.
I am the same way with Christmas, I won't put out Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving!
Love, love, love.

This year, we planted pumpkin seeds in our garden & we got 2 pumpkins, one of them is HUGE!
The girls are into Fall decorations also, they each have a light up pumpkin for their rooms:

After I put out my Fall decorations, I make pumpkin bread so that my house looks AND smells like Fall.
My girls love this bread. In less than 48 hours, both loaves are gone. Recipe HERE.
From October through December you better believe my pumpkin candle will be lit every night.

You can never have too many pumpkins out:
But, you can't forget about apples...The Honey Crisp Apples are in the stores! Win!
Kate is SO my child. As I got out our decorations, she drew pictures of pumpkins. LOVE.
(And, dressed up the dog with Cat ears)

And, to top off the first few days of October, it RAINED this afternoon! Love it!
I got out my boots off the top shelf in my closet...Boot & Scarf season has arrived!
As I type this, it is still raining, my pumpkin candle is burning, I have a casserole in the oven & and the girls & I are snuggled up on the couch watching Charlie Brown.

I love fall, but right now it is almost 85 here, so not so fall like yet. Next thing I know we will have snow on the ground. Enjoy your fall...I love all of your fall goodies!
ReplyDeleteI love it too! Its so warm here that you can't really dress for fall yet (and that's my fave part). I really like how you've decorated your home! Everything is so pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you love your pumpkin candle you should try a candle called Country Store from McCall's Candles. I can't say enough how much I love this candle and its smells so homey and warm, like fall. I keep this candle and wax melts on for the entire Fall/Winter and everyone loves it who comes to the house.
