10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}
Here are photos from Friday....the 10th of November!
We didn't have school on Friday because of Veterans Day.
Thank you to those who serve or who have served in our military.
Home of the free, because of the brave.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your service.
We had a really slow & mellow day at home.
It was amazing & just what we needed!
The morning started off with all 3 kids climbing into our bed & wanting to watch cartoons.
Who am I to say no? We didn't have school!
Later on in the morning I made some Cinnamon Rolls for a late breakfast.
Every morning while we are at school/work we have our Roomba programmed to run for an hour. We got it for Christmas last year and it's amazing. I
If you don't have one yet, I recommend getting one or asking for one for Christmas. We have a lab & the Roomba is the best...I don't have to vacuum the dog hair each day...thanks to the Roomba!
Then it was time for laundry. Lots and lots of laundry.
I hate folding laundry...it's my least favorite chore.
The kids were playing legos, so I decided to enjoy the nice weather outside, have another cup of coffee and read this book. I really loved it!
Later that afternoon, the kids and I decided to make an Apple Pie. I got this apple corer/peeler and the kids love using it!
I love it because it peels & cores so fast and the kids love using it! Win-win!
Friday night always means Pizza Night at our house & this Friday night we had Claire's end of soccer party at a pizza place downtown.
After the Pizza Party, it was time for Kate's soccer game. It was her end of season tournament & the game was under the lights.
The game ended in a tie, so then it went into a shootout & Kate's team lost in Pentaly Kicks. So heartbreaking for the girls. Kate had such a fun team this year.
After Kate's game, we went home and put the kids in bed since it was late. Then I poured a glass of wine and cut a slice of the Apple Pie we made and Kevin & I watched Riverdale.
We started watching it last weekend and have watched about 8 episodes so far. We like it...have you seen it?
So, there you have it. A snapshot of our day.
It was a nice, mellow day spent together! Love rare days like this!
Hope you had a great weekend!
LOVE Riverdale Mel- I found it this summer as well and binge-watched Season 1. I am now caught up and watching Season 2 each week- your Friday sounded perfect too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, relaxing day! Those days are rare, & a true treasure, for busy families!
