It's A.....

Yesterday was our 20 week ultrasound, also known as the "Big Ultrasound".
I am always so nervous before this ultrasound.
I had so much nervous energy this weekend that I got a lot done on my 40 bags in 40 days list (which I will post about later this week).
So, back to yesterday. I was a nervous wreck all day at school. Couldn't stop praying.
On my way to the appointment I kept praying for a healthy baby.
I had tears in my eyes, I was just so nervous (I am a freak show).
When we got to the Dr's office, we were the only ones there, so we didn't even have to wait at all! (That is a first!)
And, I am happy to report that It's A......
.
.
.
.
......Healthy Baby!
We are so thankful & relieved.

I bet you are wondering if the baby is a Boy or a Girl?
That is a great question.
The answer is....
.
.
.
.
.
We didn't find out! :)

I know, I know.
Much to all our family & friends dismay,
we are those "annoying" people who wait until the baby is born.
We didn't find out with the girls, and the surprise was SO fun.
People thought we would for sure find out with this one because we already have 2 girls, so of course we would find out. But, no....we are waiting!

And, I am a TOTAL PLANNER, so it is surprising to people that I wait until birth to find out.
I was the kid growing up who would sneak peeks at my Christmas presents.
I plan my girls birthday parties almost a year before they happen.
So, yes, I am a planner.
But there are few surprises in life and there is something so magical & special about not knowing and hearing the doctor say as I birth the baby,
"It's a...........!!!"
I love, love, love that moment.

I actually had a dream last week that at our 20 week ultrasound, the dr slipped and told me what it was & I was SO upset in my dream that he told me.

So, we will wait & see what the baby is in August when he or she is born.
What we do know is that Baby Larson #3 is healthy & we Praise God for that.
We truly don't care if it is a boy or a girl.
I grew up in a family of 3 girls, so I know how fun that is.
I love my sisters more than anything. I have 2 girls, so it would be fun to have another.
I know girls, I have girly stuff.
But, on the other hand, I would love for Kevin to have a boy. And, I think it would be fun to experience having a boy since I don't have one & never had a brother. And, I love sports, so I can totally deal with a boy. But...boys scare me...It is the fear of the unknown! I mean, they have boy parts...how do you change a boy diaper?

The girls want it to be a boy. Kevin doesn't really care. He is an amazing dad of girls, but I think he wants a boy so that he doesn't have to pay for 3 weddings. Ha!

With my girls, I was pretty sure they were girls.
With this one, I am not sure! I can't make a guess yet.
Which makes me think, maybe it is a boy?!?!

All 3 pregnancies have been the same.
Horrible all day sickness & puking starting at 6 weeks and lasting until 20+ weeks.
I am living off cereal and bagels. Can't eat anything spicy.
I am worthless at night. Night is the absolute worst. Kevin is my hero and for the past 4 months taken care of me, the girls & the house. So thankful for him.

So, until August, it is a guessing game on if it is a Boy or a Girl.
What do YOU think?!?!?!

Hello, 20 Weeks + A Winner

Hello, 20 Weeks.
So thankful to be halfway through this pregnancy. It has gone by SO slowly. Probably because I have felt awful the entire time. Mel & pregnancy are not friends.
Hello, August Due Date.
Guaranteed it will be the hottest summer we have had in years.
I plan on floating in our pool all summer.

Hello, Baby Bump.
I am still squeezing myself into my regular clothes. And soon I will be saying hello to Maternity Clothes. Which I need to buy since I gave away ALL my baby stuff & maternity clothes 2 years ago.
Hello, Bun in the Oven
How I told Kevin about Baby #3 way back in December.
Hello, Sweet Baby.
Waving at us at our 12 week appointment.
Hello, Prayers.
For our 20 week ultra sound this afternoon. I always get so nervous before my appointments.
Praying for a healthy baby! Can't wait to see how baby has grown since we last saw it at 12 weeks.
Hello, All Day Sickness.
I have been saying hello to you since 6 weeks. And, you have worn out your welcome.
I would like to say good-bye to you. I am sick of feeling sick 24/7 and puking. Enough is enough. I was like this with the girls until 22 weeks. I keep reminding myself there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hello #15, you are the WINNNER of the PW Cookbook!
Congrats, Emily! Email me so I can mail you the cookbook!

Hope you all have a lovely Monday!
Linkng up with Lisa!

St. Patty's Day 2012

Thank you SO much for your nice comments & congratulations on my last post!
We are very excited about our pleasant surprise.
We told the girls on St. Patty's Day.
When they woke up, they came downstairs & saw that a leprechaun had visited our house (just like he did last year) He didn't cause as much raucous this year because he is tired. Ha!
He switched the dining room chairs with the kitchen chairs, left a box of Lucky Charms & dyed their milk green ....
Changed Boulder's dog water to green...
And, didn't flush the toliet!!! How rude.
Kate never caught him in her leprachan trap:
But, he did leave the girls a trail of gold coins & a treasure map (can you tell I have been playing Draw Something alot? ha!)
The girls were so excited about the gold coins & gathered them in Claire's blankey.
Their pot of gold was in the guest room along with a gift bag for each of them.
Their special surprise was in the gift bags!!!
Inside was Big Sister t-shirts for each of them.
Here is their reaction when we told them what the shirts said and they would have a new baby sister or brother.
(Please note Claire's excitement & Kate basically doing a Face Palm, then rolling her eyes. CLASSIC!!!!)
We got all of this on video & it is so fun to watch. Claire is truly, truly excited. We told them in the guest room because that is going to be the new baby's nursery. Claire then disappeared to her room & came back with her old crib bedding (that was being stored in her closet)
She set up a "crib" and then brought all her toys/stuffed animals that she thought the baby would like. So cute. I think having a baby around the house will be a very good thing for Claire..she's already sharing!! (this is huge!)
Kate is excited & nervous. She drew me a St. Patty's card. That's me & the baby in my belly.
Later that day, we made cupcakes for our court St. Patty's Day Party.
I made Green Velvet cupcakes for me & the kids and Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes for the adults.
The girls wore their new Big Sister shirts all day & my sister came over to take our picture (that I posted on Sunday). Then we went to the St. Patty's Party & made the announcement to all our neighbors. It was SO fun.
It was a St. Patty's Day to remember!
Only family & a few friends knew about Baby #3. I told my principal on Friday.
It feels so good to be "out". Keeping this secret has been HARD!
More details coming soon!
