Get Pin-Spired #24

Happy Monday!
Happy March!
Boots & Jeans season is almost over (sad face)
I can't think of anything I love more than wearing boots & jeans!
Although, we had a really, really, really warm February here in California so I didn't wear boots that often, I busted out my flats because it feels like Spring!
It was in the 60's & 70's almost every day (sorry East Coast readers!)
Truth be told, I wish I lived somewhere that had seasons.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE living in California, but I loved going to college in Colorado because there were 4 seasons....Fall & Winter are my favorite. And, I love snow. Absolutely love it. I wish it snowed here in our town. I'm serious!
Anyways.... Today it's time to Get Pin-Spired with me,  Sheaffer & Shay!

Here are 3 of my Pin-Spired outfits for the month!
Pin #1 Black, Gray, Red & Cheetah!

I saw this outfit on Tara's Instagram:
I totally fell in love with it.
I liked the simplicity of black & gray ( I have TONS of that in my closet!)
And, I loved the POP of red & cheetah in the outfit.
I decided to have the pop of red in my earrings and the pop of cheetah with my flats
 Here is my recreation:
Sweater // Pants // Necklace (premier) // Earrings // Shoes

Pin #2 For the love of Chevron
I love Chevron. I have Chevron pillows, a chevron rug & I have used chevron as part of my theme for Kate's Pancakes & Pajamas Party and a Ahoy it's Boy Baby Shower.
I have seen SO many chevron patterned tops on Pinterest this month.
Maybe because Spring is coming and people need to transition to blouses/shirts instead of sweaters & jackets?
I saw these 3 pins and I knew I needed a Chevron shirt!
I didn't have a Chevron shirt, but then I found THIS one and knew it would be perfect!
I paired it with cognac flats & jeans!
 Shirt // Jeans // Shoes //Bracelets (Premier)

Pin #3: Military, Stripes & Cheetah!
Last month for Pin-Spired, I saw that Shay recreated a super cute look with a striped shirt, military jacket, jeans & cheetah booties:
I loved the way this outfit looked and I decided to re-create it, because I had everything in my closet! Instead of a military jacket, I was going to wear my military green pants and wear a denim jacket.
Here is my recreation:
Jacket // Pants // Shirt // Shoes // Bracelet // Necklace (Stella & Dot)
I LOVED this outfit. Thanks for the pin-spiration Shay!

Pin-Spired #23

Happy February!
I can't believe it's February!
Did everyone have fun watching the Super Bowl yesterday?
I didn't care who won...I was all about the food & the Super Bowl Squares.
I was really hoping for a close game and that is exactly what we got!
Congrats to the New England Patriots!
And, I won $80 in Super Bowl Squares, so I call that a win-win! :)
Now that it's February, today it's time to Get Pin-Spired with me,  Sheaffer & Shay!

I have a few looks for this month's Pin-Spired!

Outfit #1
Faux Fur Vest & Statement Necklace
Pin:
I have been seeing Faux Fur vests all over Pinterest (and around our town) this winter.
I think they are cute & fun, but I wasn't sure I would be able to pull it off.
I saw a faux fur vest at Target on sale & decided to get one.
It was perfect to bring to our trip to Tahoe after Christmas.

Here is my recreation:

I loved this outfit! It was fun to wear something fun like this :)

Oufit #2
Red Jeans, Black Stripe Shirt & Brown Boots
I saw this pin and feel in love with the outfit!
And, I had every single thing in my closet!
I can't believe I hadn't put this combo together yet!
 Shirt // Scarf // Jeans ( Stitch Fix ) // Boots

My recreation:

I am pretty sure I am going to wear this outfit again for our school Valentine Wear Red Day this month!

Outfit #3
Maroon Blouse with a pop of Gray!

My recreation:

This was another successful Stitch Fix  I have gotten them for 9 months and I have kept something everytime!
It is so fun to see what arrives each month. And, you aren't obligated to keep any of it! It comes with a free shipping envelope for you to send back the items you don't want.

You don't have to do it every month, you can customize it to how you want it...every other month, every 2 months, every 3 months, etc.
I really like this outfit also. I got these black jeans last winter and I wear them at least 1 time a week to school. They are $30 and they are long enough fro me because they come in Tall length
Another example of wearing black with brown boots!
Now, I won't dare wear black boots with black clothing because it's too much black & I just love how brown boots go with black clothing!
Outfit #4
Sundress with denim jacket
Pin:
Its no secret that I love dreeses! I hadn't been wearing them much in the winter because it was cold, but then I realized (thanks to Pinterest) if I added a demin jacket, leggings & boots, then I could totally wear dresses in the winter!
 My recreation:

This was my favorite outfit this month!
I have severl other sun dresses that I am going to wear this winter!

Get Pin-spired #22

Happy 2015!
I hope you all had a great Christmas & New Years!
Ours was a blast, we spent the week after Christmas in Lake Tahoe.
Lots of snowy weather which I love and is so different than the warm winter weather we have in the Bay Area!
Today, it's time to Get Pin-Spired with me & Sheaffer
Shay is in China right now bringing home their daughter, so she isn't linking up with us this month!
I have a few looks for this month's Pin-Spired!

Outfit #1
Polka Dot Dress & Brown Boots
I saw 2 pins that caught my eye:
My recreation:
Dress // Leggings // Boots (which are 20% off right now!!)

These were all things I had in my closet!!

 Outfit #2
Lace Shirt, Black pants, Brown boots, Gold Necklace
Pin:
I was browsing Pinterest for ideas for what I should wear for our Family Photos.
I had everyone else's outfits picked out except mine.
I wanted to be neutral, but coordinate with everyone else since we didn't have a matchy-matchy theme going on.
I saw this pin and knew it would look good for our photos....and I had it all in my closet!
Here is my outift:
Shirt // Pants // Boots // Necklace (Premier)

I love how my outfit ties into Kate's lace dress :)

Outfit #3
Lace Dress, black leggings, brown boots
Pin:

I had this pinned and when my December Stich Fix came, I was SO excited to see this dress:
It was a green lace dress! I was so excited! Perfect to wear on Christmas Eve!
That is what I love about Stitch Fix...when you sign up for Stitch Fix, you link your Pinterest Boards to them so that know what styles you like. This dress was perfect!
Dress // Leggings // Boots // Necklace (Stella + Dot) // Earrings // Bracelets

This is my 9th month doing Stitch Fix and I am obsessed with it. It is so fun to see what arrives each month. And, you aren't obligated to keep any of it! It comes with a free shipping envelope for you to send back the items you don't want. You don't have to do it every month, you can customize it to how you want it...every other month, every 2 months, every 3 months, etc.

I think it's so funny that a few years ago I wouldn't dare wear brown boots with black clothing.
Now, I won't dare wear black boots with black clothing because it's too much black & I just love how brown boots go with black clothing!

Outfit #4
Sequins!!!
I was looking for ideas to wear with my black sequin shirt that I got a few years ago.
The girls wore red sequin skirts for Christmas dinner and they wanted me to wear my black sequin shirt with them so we would all be wearing sequins.
So many sequin options out there, I saw 2 pins that worked with what I have in my closet:
Pin #1:
Pin #2
Both pins showed the black sequin shirt with black flats & chunky jewelery. I would have never paired a sequin shirt with a statement necklace because I orginally would have thought it would be "too much" going on. But, I tired it & I loved it!
I kept it simple with black leggings & black flats.
My outfit:
Shirt // Pants // Flats (Christmas Gift) // Necklace // Bracelets
This is what I wore for Christmas dinner, it would also be a great outfit for a Christmas party or NYE party!

And, my final outfit was for the 80's Christmas Party we went to.
It was kind of Pin-Spired, a few weeks before the party, I went on Pinterest to check out 80's holiday dresses to get an idea of what I should wear (since I was only a kid during the 80s)
This is one of the images that came up:
Kelly & Brenda's prom dresses!
It was the 90's, but I knew I could find something similar.
I went on Ebay & guess what I got for $20?
The same velvet dress, but with a red bow!
Perfect!

Pinterest really does come in handy! So does Ebay :)
I added blue eye shadow, a side pony & a scrunchie to make it more like the 80's. So fun!

So, there you have it! My Pin-Spired looks for this month!
