Hello, Summer!

Hello, Summer!
We are so glad you are here.
School got out last Friday & it was such a crazy last week of school.
I had to get my classroom all packed up.
I had to meet with my long term sub.
I had to plan the first 2 months of school since I will be on maternity leave when school starts.
It has been crazy!
But, then Saturday arrived & we officially said Hello to Summer!
Hello, relaxing & swimming:
Hello, Heat Wave:
Hello, trying to stay hydrated.
(I am not a fan of water & force myself to drink it)
Hello, Sky Party. 90 degrees at 9:00 pm. I love summer.
Hello, Fathers Day Breakfast in Bed:
Hello, Veggies & Hummus. One of my favorite summer snacks.
Hello, "Happy Summer!" presents for the girls:
I also call these guilty working mom presents. They love summer because I am home, so on the first Monday of summer, I surprise them with some fun little presents to celebrate summer & the fact that I get to be home with them all day.
Hello, presents from the $1 spot at Target!
(All these were $1 except the princess dive sticks & the goldfish crackers)
Hello, Happy Mail! Cute earrings from Hannah's shop!
Hello, new shopping center that is being built 10 minutes from our house:
Guess what will be in it? Coffee Bean!!!!! AHHHH!!!
And....Chik Fil A. Can't wait to try it.
Summer 2o12 is off to a great start!

  1. try it? You mean, you've never had Chick-fil-a?? I hope you love our Southern tradition! I wonder if they'll serve sweet tea at their western locations?

Also, if you are one of the first 100 customers, you get free chick-fil-a for a whole year!

  2. Have you never had Chick Fil A?!!?!?

And yes, I read your other post about sweet tea and could not believe it! I don't know if I could survive there! haha! :)

Anyway, your girls will LOVE CFA! And they also have fun family nights - like, we just did Princess night and it was a blast! :)

  3. OMG. I can not WAIT until Chick fil a opens. Love your Summer shots!

  4. Chick Fil A has the BEST sweet tea ever and YES they do serve it at the western locations! :) I'm addicted. Your pictures are great. I love the summer baskets. Awesome idea!

  5. I did some research and found out the CFA will be 4 short miles from me! Yahoo! I can't hardly wait.

  6. this past weekend was the best way to kick start summer.
    the weather.
    the water.
    the sky parties.

    love it all.

and hannah's ombre earrings are my fav. :) i have the green ones! excellent choices!

  7. You have NEVER had Chick-fil-A? WHAT? You are going to LOVE it and so will your girls. Make sure try the Chick-fil-A sauce with the nuggets, YUMMO!

  8. I think the happy summer present idea is so cute and sweet.

And I bet your hubby loved the breakfast in bed. That looked delicious!

  9. Three very important things you need to know as a CFA newbie!

    1. The chicken sandwich comes with butter and a dill pickle on it. You can ask for no pickle and no butter.

    2. With the kids meals, you can trade in the toy or book for a kid sized ice cream. No junky cheap toys to take home!

    3. They are closed on Sundays to observe the sabbath, which means whenever you think of going to CFA, it will always be a Sunday.

My kids won't eat other fast food because CFA is real chicken and so much tastier.

  10. I've never had Chick Fil A either, Mel..I can't wait to go...there's another one going in in W.C. I hear!
Love the idea of giving the girls presents on the first day of summer:)

  11. I found some crackers made by Blue Diamond that are made with pecans and I eat it with hummus. Wonderful!

And I can't believe you have never been to Chick Fil A. The most wonderful place on earth!

  12. So glad it's summer over here too--finally!! I said goodbye to my last promoting eighth graders Friday. packed up my room to move in with my job share partner for next year and NOW I can breathe--and look at new curriculum in August: ))) Keep hydrated!!

  13. Haaa! I give guilty mom first day of summer presents too... although now with a 10 1/2 and 12 1/2 year old they each got money. Wooo!
And, we LOVE chick fil a. Ours is finally almost ready to open in Folsom. I love the grilled chicken on wheat bun. So good.
