My Kind of S'mores

Normally, I am not a big fan of s'mores
(I know, I know)
I think it is because I don't like plain Hershey bars.
So, I switch it up when I make s'mores.....
Goodbye Hershey Bar, Hello Reece's Peanut Butter Cups!
This is fun & simple twist on S'mores!
I don't know about you, but Reeces Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite chocolate candy. Yum.
The girls were so excited to make s'mores this summer.
We made them in May, but Kate has been asking to make them again
(and, this was on our summer list)
(Disclaimer: no one was harmed while Claire ran around the house with a bent wire hanger)

We don't have a fire pit, so we roast our marshmallows on our gas BBQ. That's how we roll.
The perfect s'mores marshmallow is lightly toasted all around...not burnt.
Please note Exhibit A:
This is NOT how you roast a marshmallow...Having it catch on fire is a big no-no.
(Kevin is a fan of this method....Kate and I? Not so much)

While my marshmallows are roasting, I put a graham cracker & a peanut butter cup on some foil on the grill to get my chocolate slightly warm.
Kate is mesmorized by this whole process...she wanted her dessert!
Almost ready....just needs a top cracker!
Yum. Yum. Yum.
What's not to love?
Graham Crackers? Good.
Marshmallows? Good.
Reeces Peanut Butter Cups? Really Good!
I think it is safe to say that both girls loved them!

I give these S'mores 2 thumbs up.
If you like Reeces Peanut Butter Cups and you like S'mores, give these a try!

  2. These look delicious! I am not a fan of hershey bars either. Did yo know you can make smores in your toaster oven? I have been thinking about doing a post showing how and then I saw your s'more post this morning. Yummy. Can't wait to try your method with PB cups!

  3. Yum, Reece's are my favorite candy too! I have been wanting to make smores (on our summer list as well) but we didn't have a way to "cook" them, I did not even think about the grill, duh! :) Thanks for two great ideas! Oh and I am still super excited about winning in your giveaway!

  4. Ok, first of all...
    Your Target is getting GROCERIES??!
I want groceries at my TARGET!!!
Second of all, Target is MY bff. lol
How cool and exciting is that! And new carts? No way. No fair.

Okay, next up- those smores look fun. I'm not a huge smore fan and I think it is because I do not like to bite into things like that, I like to take smaller bites. Maybe I could make mini smore bites somehow? The reeses looks good in there though.

  14. 1) You just made me want to leave school today and go to the grocery store...which you know I never do.
    2) You just made me want to go to the BBQ and Q up the Reece's smores...which I never do and is ALL I can do right now since my stove isn't even hooked up and I can see through to the other side of the room!
    3) Gotta side with Kevin. I'm a fan of the light on fire, crispy burnt on the outside, melty on the inside. :)
