Valentine Cookies in a Jar + A Free Printable

Who doesn't love cookies on Valentine's Day?
For Claire's Cowgirl Party, one of the favors I gave out were Cowgirl Cookies in Mason Jars.
They were a hit. Delicious, fun & easy to make.
Then, I made a Christmas version to give to the girls teachers a couple years ago.
I was planning on making them this past Christmas for the girls teachers, but things got busy, so I ended up giving them gift cards for Christmas.
I still had all these jars, and then realized I could make them Valentine Cookies in a Jar!
Here is what you need for each Mason Jar:
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick oats
1/3 cup m&ms (I used the Valentine ones)
2/3 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
Put the ingredients in the order I listed:
First: flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
Second: oats
Third: m&ms
Fourth: chocolate chips
Fifth: brown sugar
Sixth: white sugar

I use smooth 1 quart Mason Jar which I buy at Michael's for $1.99.
Then I add a piece of fabric that I cut out in 8 inch by 8 inch squares.
I tied some baking twine around the fabric to secure it.
Then I made labels for the front & back of the jars.
I printed them on sticker paper & then punched out the labels with a 2.5 inch scalloped punch.
{You could also print on normal paper & attach to the jar with double stick tape}

So cute!
Of course, I couldn't make the jars without making a batch of the cookies for us ;)
These cookies are so yummy! The jar makes 24 cookies.
Here is the printable for you!

I am giving a jar of this Cookie Mix to Kate's teacher, Claire's teacher, Kate's speech teacher, the 2 secretaries in the school office and the Principal.
It's a fun & easy gift to give and it represents my girls well since they LOVE to help me bake.
Enjoy!
