10 on 10 :: October 2013

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!} ten on ten button
Five years ago on October 10, 2008, I participated with 10 on 10 for the very first time.
It was super small & only a handful of people even knew about it.
My blog was only 2 months old and I thought it was such a fun idea to document my day every hour for 10 hours. My little Claire Bear was only 1 month old.
Since that very first time I did 10 on 10, I was hooked.
For the past FIVE years, every month, I have documented the 10th day of the month.
I haven't missed a month yet!!!  I look forward to the 10th every month!
I was so fun to see how our family has grown over the past 5 years via 10 on 10.
Thank you Rebekah for creating such a fun project!
If you haven't joined in, I encourage you to!

Here is a snapshot of our day.
It has been a CRAZY week.
Busy, busy, busy.
I was thankful for a slow(er) day today & being able to look at it through the lens of my camera.
This morning started off CRAY-CRAY with Claire having a meltdown of epic proportions.
The first pic I was able to take was at 8 am in my school parking lot.
Today was the first day I have worn boots this season.
Leaves on the ground, wearing boots & a scarf.
 Hooray for Fall!
My students made Review Posters today.

I love Thursdays. It is my short day. I am done teaching at 11:15. I stay at school until noon and then meet my mother in law at our house so Luke can nap from noon -2:00 (until we go pick up Kate from school).
It is a glorious 2 hours of silence in my house.
I have lunch...today was Trader Joe's pumpkin granola & Greek Yogurt. Yum.

Lots of pink flowers on my kitchen table. I hosted a baby shower on Sunday for my friend Dana (which I need to blog...maybe tomorrow!) & I am loving having all the pink in my house. Pink is my favorite color.

Waiting in the school pick up line.
I have 45 minutes between Kate's pick up & Claire's pick up (at the same school) so everyday

Late Afternoon Snack (for me)

Lukey Guy...dragging his sisters pink popper.
Mums & Pansies I planted in my backyard. LOVE fall flowers.

There you have it. Another 10th of the month.
What they say is true....the days are long, but the years are short.
So glad I have documented at least one day a month for the past 5 years.

  1. Melissa Larson, I think it is no coincidence that you posted this at 10:10pm with a 10 on 10 label for your 10 on 10. Am I right or am I right?! ;) We've got to get Luke and Liam together as soon as Liam can walk (which I'm okay with not happening right now!), I think they'd have fun together, they are both so happy! :)

  2. That is so fun that you've been doing 10 on 10 for 5 years! And aren't silent hours in your house just glorious? I have them every afternoon while my kiddos nap...and they're magnificent!

  4. We started blogging the same year. You were the one who inspired me to start 10 on 10. I thought it might be too much since I do P365, but it has a completely different feel. And yes, they are fun to look back on to see the details of the day....how DID we do it? :)

    10:10 pm LOL
