10 on 10 :: April 2012

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

It's April & this is my Spring Break Edition of 10 on 10!

Last night at 9:00pm my mother in law called and told me to bring the girls over to her house in the morning when they woke up so that she could watch them & I could have a day to myself and go buy myself some maternity clothes!!!!!
Ummmm...twist my arm!!!!
Here we are arriving at Grandma's house in our pj's/rainboots ready to make pancakes:
Then, I was off to run errands. First stop? The new Home Goods that opened up in our town. It used to be where Borders was, but since that went out of business, Home Goods filled the vacant spot.
I spent an hour at Home Goods walking through every single isle. It was great.
All that walking made me hungry and baby wanted a Sausage Egg McMuffin.
Don't judge....I crave these when I am pregnant. (No wonder Claire was 9 lbs 6 oz. Ha!)
Then it was off to Old Navy to buy some Maternity Clothes. I gave ALL my maternity clothes away 2 years ago, so I have none. I am still in normal clothes, but they are getting VERY tight.
I got a few things there & then headed to my Happy Place....Target!
It was so nice to wander the isles of Target without my girls trying to escape the shopping cart. I picked up a few maternity items there as well.
It was after 1pm, so I was way overdue for lunch & I was craving a Chicken Salad Sandwich from my favorite sandwich shop.
(My sister was craving one also & I ran into her and a friend getting lunch there also)
I headed home to organize some things & work on my 40 bags in 40 days. It was raining all day & I just enjoyed hearing the rain tap on the windows.
I had a couple hours until I had to get the girls, so it was time to head to Starbucks for a decaf Vanilla Latte & get started on reading The Hunger Games.
On my way to my in laws....the hills are SO green right now...so pretty!
Then, I took the girls to their swim lessons. Kate did so awesome today, I am so proud of her!
After swimming, it was time to head home....dinner prep...It's fajita night!
I had such a great 10th.
It was so nice to spend a day of my Spring Break going on errands, getting things organized & having time to myself! So thankful for my mother in law!

  2. I had a girls-free day to myself today and can totally vouch for the fact that its a necessity now and then! I was able to get some serious sewing done...which was good not only for my inventory but also my creative juices.
    Have a wonderful week!
