2015 Garden {Month 2}

It's been 2 months since I planted my 2015 Garden, so I thought I would do an update!

Here was the first week I planted:
Month 1:
And, today Month 2:
Here is what has been going on in the garden.....my tomato plants are growing like CRAZY!
 Lots of green tomatoes on my Early Girl plants:
And, my cherry tomatoes are also green. Can't wait for them to start turning red!
 My squash & zucchini plants are also going crazy:
 Here is part of my harvest from this week:
 My final box is the herbs & my lettuce and kale:
 The lettuce & kale are almost ready to be pulled out. It has a short plant life (about 6 weeks) and then you can plant more. It grew so fast that I couldn't keep up with it!
I was able to make lots of salads using our lettuce & kale, but it grew SO much!
 Chicken Taco Salad:
(which is like my Taco Salad but chicken instead of taco meat & I used pinto beans instead of kidney beans)
I am happy with how our 2015 Garden is growing despite the severe drought we are in here in California. I am only watering 1-2 times a week, since we are on water restrictions.

Now, I am just waiting patiently for the tomatoes to turn red. That usually happens around month 3, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this time next month I will have lots of tomatoes!

Can't wait to hear what is up with all of you!

  6. Your garden is gorgeous! We don't really have a yard, or I would have a plot like yours.

  7. I cannot believe how your garden has taken off! I fear its way too hot here in South Carolina for those thing. I'm having to water my zinnias and marigolds twice a day to keep them alive!
