Here we are....September 10th.
Claire's Birthday was yesterday & Kevin got her a dozen pink roses. Tradition.
Still trying to get used to the Back to School routine.
That means coffee & prep work before school in my classroom.
One of my friends/co-workers is the Yearbook teacher. She knows my love of fonts, so when her book of fonts came in, she brought it straight to my room. Every year she has me help pick out fonts for the yearbook. I'm like a kid on Christmas. So Giddy! Font Snobs Unite!
A fun little math assignment I had the kids last week do as a way for me to get to know them. Here was my version that I used as the sample :)
Lunch! I have been eating late lunches after I pick up Kate. Today I had angel hair pasta with some Olive Oil and fresh tomatoes & basil from our garden, sprinkled with some Parmesan cheese. Yum!
Back in the car to pick up Claire.
Now that school is back in session, I am back to my afternoon Diet Coke (or Iced Coffee) pick me up.
Claire's birthday party is this weekend. Getting some party prep done. Can you guess the theme?
Early Dinnertime for Luke:
Not pictured today was the massive meltdowns both girls had before dinner.
Going back to school is exhausting for everyone & we are figuring out the new routine.
Also not pictured was a girls night I had with my small group girls.
Margaritas & Planning a Baby Shower.
Great way to end a busy day!
Happy 10th!

  1. I love that activity you did with your class. I might have to copy that for my 7 year old. She loves different fun things like that!

  7. Do you know how much I hate having to write for the newspaper in Times New Roman? I LOATHE TNR.

Alexa is adjusting well to kinder but she is so tired all of the time. She was loving soccer until school started now she says that she is too tired to play. I am wondering if we should have waited til spring to start ball.

  8. Pink roses! What a sweet tradition that is!
Your lunch looks healthy, beautiful, and tasty!
I smiled when you mentioned that your friend is the Yearbook Teacher for CW. I was in Yearbook during 8th grade, but Mrs. Tong was the Teacher at that time....many, many years ago. She was the BEST!! What a fun class to teach!!

  12. Love the math assignment by the numbers! I should try that on the first day for my college students... might make them think about how much they use numbers. Their claim is often that they never use math!
