2017 Fall TV Lineup!

The end of September is here, which means one thing:
The fall television season is officially upon us!
This week is premiere week and I look forward to it every year!
 One of my favorite things about the Fall is the new Fall TV schedule comes out.
Shows have their season premiers and we find out what new shows are premiering.
No more re-runs.
We get to find out what happened in our favorite shows after months since the Season Finales!
I get so excited when they announce the new shows & the Fall TV Premiere dates...this week is when most of the new shows are premiering!
What I love to do at the end of the day is just sit down with a glass of wine & zone out in front of the TV.
How about you?
Get ready.....Let's talk TV and get your DVR ready!!!!!

Monday:
Monday Night Football
I LOVE Monday Night Football!

Last year I tried out Kevin can Wait...I like Kevin James & it is pretty good. I will keep watching it this season.
It's about a  newly retired cop who is supporting his daughter & her fiance.

Of course, in January I will be watching The Bachelor. I am actually looking forward to Arie as The Bachelor, I really liked him on Emily's season!

New Shows on Mondays that I will check out:
9JKL
It's a family comedy inspired by a time in Mark Feuerstein’s adult life when he lived in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his parents’ apartment, 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law and their baby’s apartment, 9L, and his attempts to set boundaries with his intrusive but well-meaning family.

  I play on a co-ed indoor soccer team on Monday nights, so anything I want to watch on Monday goes on the DVR. Plus, we have Monday Night Football to watch!

Tuesday:

3 words.... THIS IS US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I had such high hopes for this show last year and it did not disappoint.
It exceeded by expectations &  is even better than I thought it would be.
I watched the series premiere THREE times last September.
Once by myself, then I had my sister come over the next day to watch it & then I watched it with Kevin.
Hands down, my favorite show I have seen in the past few years.
If you haven't seen it, start watching the first season and DVR the 2nd season (it starts tomorrow night)

I also watch New Girl on Tuesdays.

 This year will be it's last season, but they haven't said when it will premier, I am thinking it will be in January since I think they are only doing 13 episodes. It will also be 3 years in the future from where we left off in Season 6.

There aren't any new shows on Tuesdays that I am interested in watching.

Wednesday:
We love The Goldbergs!

Last year I started watching The Good Place because my friend Darcy from High School is in the show...she plays Janet! I am so proud of her & the shows success!
The Good Place was on Thursdays last season, but now it's on Wednesdays.
Season 1 is on Netflix, so you can catch up if you haven't seen it.

Thursdays:
Thursday night  is PACKED with AMAZING shows!!
TGIT is for real!
2 years ago, I started watching Grey's Anatomy on Netfllx for the first time ever. (Several of you also recommended Grey's to me....Thank you!!!!)
I was caught up by last season and can't wait for this season to start!

We started watching How to get away with Murder 2 years ago.
We liked Season 1. Season 2 & Season 3 were okay, but I am committed to watching Season 4.
2 years ago,  based on recommendations from many of you, we started watching Scandal.
This is the last season of Scandal!

New Shows I am watching on Thursdays:
Going to add Will & Grace to my DVR.
The original series is on Netflix now, so I might watch those and then start watching the new ones!

Friday:
 Friday is for catching up on all the shows we have on our DVR (or Netflix)
I also love 20/20 and Dateline...if they aren't too creepy of topics!

Saturday:
College Football
SNL
Or, Saturday nights we go on a Date Night or hang out with family/friends/neighbors, watch a movie, etc.

Sunday:
Sunday Night Football (we love Football in our house!)
I have been totally into watching Shark Tank on Friday nights for the past few years year, but this year they are moving it to Sunday nights!

 I love that show! I love seeing people's new ideas.

And, I must confess, I have totally gone online and bought things from people after seeing them on Shark Tank!
Here are new shows that I am going to watch that don't have an exact premiere date set yet and some of them are premiering midseason.

AP Bio:
It's about a hilarious & cynical Ivy League professor loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school biology teacher where he imposes his unorthodox teaching style and uses the kids to plot out revenge on those who wronged him.

For the People:
 Set in the Southern District of New York Federal Court, known as the "Mother Court," the drama follows attorneys for the prosecution and defense "as they handle the most high profile and high stakes case in the country, all as their personal lives intersect.

Good Girls:
Three "good girl" suburban wives and mothers suddenly find themselves in desperate circumstances and decide to stop playing it safe and risk everything to take their power back.  Mae Whitman (who was in Parenthood) is one of the main characters!

Life Sentence:
When a young woman is diagnosed with terminal cancer finds out that she's not dying after all, she has to learn to live with the choices she made when she decided to "live like she was dying."

Rise:
Based on the book Drama High  and the life of drama teacher Lou Volpe, the series revolves around a high school drama teacher and family man whose passion for the program and his students galvanizes the entire working class town.

Splitting Up Together:
The story of a couple whose marriage is reignited by their divorce. Oliver Hudson is in this show and I liked him in Rules of Engagement, so I am excited that he is on a new sitcom.

This post makes me sound like a TV junkie.....because I am!!!

We mostly just DVR everything and watch it on Friday nights. We are SO exciting. Ha!
And, as the months go on, we cut out shows that we don't like or they just stay un watched on the DVR in what I call "DVR Suburgatory" and then I delete them or just start watching new shows on Netflix.

What are your favorite TV shows?
What new shows are you excited to try out?
Any shows you broke up with after last season?
Any Netflix shows you would recommend?
Any new shows I need to start watching?
Are you excited about Fall TV?

Loving Lately // September 2017

It's time for another round of Loving Lately!
I've done this once a month since January & they have a color theme.
January was gray, February was pink, March was green , April was  yellow/gold, May was coral, June was Aqua/Turquoise and July was white,  August was Black & White, mostly black & white stripes...and September is Olive Green/Army Green! I am all about this color, especially in the Fall! Today is the first day of Fall, so HAPPY FALL!

Here is this month's Loving Lately....

//  ONE  //
This is my go-to jacket in the Fall.

The color is perfect & neutral and goes with everything!
I got it HERE, but you can also get it HERE if you want other colors.
I wore this jacket when we were in Chicago in May and it is the perfect jacket to travel with!
That was such a fun trip...I want to go back to Chicago!

// TWO //
I am loving this vest! Perfect for Fall & adding a cute layer to your outfit!
 I got it last Fall and wear it often! The vest also comes in grey.
This is one of my favorite fall outfits with this vest:
  Shirt // Vest  // Jeans // Booties

// THREE //
More olive green clothing items...this shirt!
I wore it 2 years ago for our family photos:
It comes in several colors and is currently 30% off and you can get it for under $30.

// FOUR //
Love this jacket, it is a hoodie material & is really soft and warm.
 It is from Evy's Tree & I got it last Fall. They don't have it anymore, but they release new hoodies all the time. I have several of their hoodies, follow them on IG to stay up to date with all their new releases!
Most of their hoodies you can dress them up or dress it down.
I wore it wine tasting in Sonoma with some girls from my R+F team & we did a cave tasting & it was perfect!
I paired with a black tank top, these jeans & these leopard flats!
Side note....these leopard flats are the best and under $20!! I've had them for years!
Comfy & cute :)

// FIVE //
Final piece of olive green clothing that I am loving...these pants!

I got them in my Stitch Fix and they are so great!
You can also get the pants HERE.

If you haven't done a Stitch Fix I highly recommend it! Fall is my favorite time to get them because Fall clothes are my favorite!

I wore them yesterday with this shirt and  the leopard flats!

I told you I am loving olive green lately....what I love about olive green is that it goes with everything.
It is a neutral color in my opinion :)

// SIX //
Today is the first day of Fall..yeah!! Loving the cooler temps we had this week.
Not loving the fact that it is going to be 90 next week. BOO!!!!
Cooler weather means I start making soup at least once a week for dinner.

 We had a chili cook off on Saturday & I made White Chicken Chili
 {Recipe HERE}

During the Fall/Winter, I make a batch of Grammy's Split Pea Soup almost weekly for my lunches:

Recipe {HERE}

Even the food I am loving right now is olive green! LOL!

// SEVEN //
Need a planner for 2018? All Erin Condren planners are on sale for 25% off today!!!
I am loving this one...it is grayish/olive green.
Click HERE to see all the planners!
So many cute designs. This is my 5th year getting one, they are the best & on sale today for 25% off!

// EIGHT //
I am loving using Cactus/Succulents as decorations on my classroom window sill!
The 2 mini ones were bridal shower favors and the larger one is from my neighbor.
 She gave it to us as a "housewarming present" from when we had neighborhood party when our outdoor kitchen/bar was finished.

// NINE //
Speaking of the outdoor kitchen/bar area, now that we have an larger outdoor entertaining space (with a TV) the neighborhood guys have been coming over to watch baseball games and football games out there. An easy snack that Kevin is loving to serve is these olives from Trader Joe's:

They are Jalapeno stuffed olives & all the guys are LOVING them!
I am loving that I just have to open a jar & put them in a bowl. Easy!
Perfect "bar" snack along with a bowl of chips or a bowl of almonds/cashews!

// TEN //
I am LOVING this book! I just started it this week.
Have you read it?
And, the cover is olive green :)
I want to see the movie, but I won't see a movie unless I read the book first....anyone else do that?

So, there you have it....some lovely olive green things I have been Loving Lately.
What have you been Loving Lately?
