Today, my friend Shay is posting her 100th Bundt Cake!
And, I couldn't believe that she didn't have a Chocolate Kahlua Bundt cake as one of her 100 bundt cakes. You need to have this recipe!
Growing up, my mom made this cake for most birthdays.
It was her go-to chocolate cake recipe.
It's the first bundt cake I ever tasted and it's the first bundt cake I ever made, so I knew I had to share it with you!
(In fact, until high school, I didn't even realize you could make other flavor bundt cakes, I thought this was it. Ha!)
Here is what you need for Chocolate Kahlua Bundt Cake:
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1 box of instant chocolate pudding (4 ounce)
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup Kahlua
- 1 (12 oz) package of chocolate chips (I always use milk chocolate, but semi-sweet is fine!)
*If you don't have (or like) Kahlua, you can omit it and make the cake without it. Then it would just be a Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake*
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients (except chocolate chips) with mixer, beat for 2 minutes on high.
Add chocolate chips.
Spray a 10 inch Bundt Pan with Pam & spread into pan.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Let cool for 20 minutes & then flip over onto a plate or cake stand.
Once completely cooled, dust bundt cake with powdered sugar.
Yum.
Enjoy!
Thank you so much friend for celebrating with me today! It means the world to me :). I cannot wait to try your mom's bundt cake! It looks FABULOUS!!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing! I will be pinning it for the future. Thanks for sharing. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my stars! That looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to make that when I was a little girl. I remember her going to the liquor store to buy the Kahlua. She made us hide of the floor board of the car so that people wouldn't see her bringing children to the Thrify Liquor. True story! Haha!
Mouth watering.
ReplyDeleteI want this cake...I NEED this cake! Right now!
ReplyDeleteOh my mouth is watering!! I am the worst cook in the history of the universe (literally, I think I have a certificate somewhere...) but I am going to try to make this anyway... :-S
