Did you know that National Peanut Butter Day is on January 24th?
We love peanut butter in our house!
One of my favorite combinations is peanut butter & chocolate.
It's no surprise that Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite candy
(Specifically the Peanut Butter Eggs that they have during Easter! The BEST.)
Here is my recipe for No Bake Chocolate Peanut Bars....otherwise known as copy cat Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (but in bar form)
Here is what you need:
1 cup butter, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups of powdered sugar
1 cup of peanut butter (I use Skippy)
1 (12oz) package of chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate, but you can use semi-sweet)
2 cups of powdered sugar
1 cup of peanut butter (I use Skippy)
1 (12oz) package of chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate, but you can use semi-sweet)
Directions:
Take your graham crackers & put them in a ziplock bag & use a rolling pin to make the graham cracker crumbs (About 1 1/2 sleeves of graham crackers)
Make sure the crumbs are nice & fine without any big pieces.
In a bowl, add the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs,
powdered sugar and 1 cup peanut butter:
Tip: Spray your measuring cup with Cooking Spray so that the Peanut Butter is easier to scoop out!
Mix until well blended:

Press
evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 inch pan.
In a bowl over simmering water, or in the microwave, melt the chocolate chips.
In a bowl over simmering water, or in the microwave, melt the chocolate chips.
Make sure you are stirring occasionally until smooth.
Spread over
the prepared crust. Put into the refrigerator for at least one hour before cutting
into squares.
I cut them up & then I store them in an air tight container in the fridge
(I put a piece of wax paper between each layer so that they don't stick together)
My family goes crazy for these bars!
Hope you enjoy them!
