This weekend our little town put on Fall Fest & Pumpkin Jubilee.
It was SO fun! The businesses & restaurants allowed kids to trick or treat from shop to shop. They also set up craft tables outside & they had little pumpkins everywhere (& you could take them home...for free!)
We met some of our friends there, it was a great way to spend a warm fall Saturday morning. Kids were encouraged to wear their costumes, but Kate didn't want to because she said, "It's not Halloween yet"
Here is Kate "trick or treating"That didn't go over so well & it upset both girls. Haha!
I gave Kate back her lolipop.
I told Kate's buddy Taylor to get in the picture so that maybe Kate would smile for me.
Nope, still too focused on her candy. Taylor looked super cute as Minnie Mouse! Here is a look at one of the craft tables they had set up for kids to make beaded necklaces:Kate & Taylor were really into it:There was also a FREE face painter there & Kate really wanted to get her face painted.
We waited almost 30 minutes in the line, but Kate was happy because she had her tootsie roll pop & her buddy there with her:
Our box of homemade goodies courtesy of Kate & Auntie El!
Great photos! It looks like your girls had a blast at the Fall Fest. I wish our town did something similar. The goodies look yummy too! I think I will add making cupcakes to my list along with your pumpkin bread!
ReplyDeleteso much fun!
ReplyDeleteFun! We were down there too, but didn't get much past the Golden Retriever Rescue dog...Claire was way too into that!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of the girls after you took away the Tootsie Pop is hilarious! I'm glad I'm not the only mom who thinks it's funny when their kid is throwing a fit. :)
ReplyDeleteUm... and how about a pumpkin spice cupcake recipe? :)
Wow! What a fun day!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness oh my goodness. I found you through Heather's blog and i cannot get over how cute your daughters are! And their matching shirts are so sweet--did you make those?
ReplyDeleteWe have a Cate and are expecting a Caroline (okay..not that close to "Claire" but kind of counts...right?)
What cute pictures! Leila loves lollipops too!
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog and am loving looking back at your darling girls! These pumpkin patch pictures are so similar to ours from this year. My daughter Addison wore that exact shirt. I loved it so much this fall. You have a precious family...I will definitely check back soon!
