WIWW: 2011 Wedding Edition!

This year has been the biggest Wedding Season for us ever!!
So many friends getting married!

Wedding Season kicked off for us early this year with my sister's wedding in April.
Then, we had 2 weddings in August, 1 in September, 1 in October & 1 this past weekend.

Figuring out what to wear to weddings is always fun, so here is WIWW - Wedding Edition!
(And, I included what I wore to 2 of the Rehearsal Dinners)

My sister's wedding in April, I was the Matron of Honor:
(You can see more wedding pictures here and here)
Dress: (Local Bridal Shop)

In early August, one of Kevin's high school friends weddings at a beautiful country club.
For the Rehersal Dinner, I wore my LBD. Here I am with my BFF:
Dress: Nordstrom (circa 2002...I wore it to my own Rehearshal Dinner)
Necklace: Nordstrom (circa 2010)

For the wedding, I wore this:
My dress: Nordstrom (Brass Plum)
Shoes: Payless Shoe Source
Bracelet: NY & Co
(I don't know where AK got her dress, isn't it SO cute?!?!)

We had another wedding at the end of August, Amanda & Bobby's
(On the left, Heather G., Heather M & I)
Dress: Nordstrom
Shoes: Target

In September (on 9.10.11) was Tegan's wedding.
Dress: Modcloth
(I LOVED this dress & this was the first & only time I wore it. When I got home from the wedding, the dress was totally fraying & unraveling. I called Modcloth & they let me return it. Thumbs up for good costumer service. Thumbs down that I had to return my cute dress!)
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: Banana Republic
Bracelet: Target

In October, we had one of our former youth group kids' wedding.
Dress: Kohl's (LC collection, circa 2010)
Shoes: Target
Necklace: eliot necklace

Last week, we went to the IJM Benefit Dinner. It wasn't a wedding, but it was fancy like a wedding, so I thought I would post those dresses also!
My dress: H&M...loved it & it had pockets!
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: Ann Taylor Loft

This past weekend, we had our final wedding of 2011.
Kevin & I read scripture.
Here is my Rehearsal Dinner outfit:
Dress: Forever 21 (only $14!)
Shoes: Target
Necklace & Earrings: NY & Co

Wedding outfit:
Dress: Nordstrom Rack (Borrowed from my older sister, Elyse)
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: Banana Republic
Bracelet: NY & Co

So there you have it, What I Wore to Weddings....2011 Edition!
Super excited about the 3 weddings we have next year!
(Maybe I need to branch out with my wedding style next year & not wear a strapless dress to every.single.wedding! ha! I didn't realize how many strapless dresses I own!)

  1. Quit being so gosh darn adorable, Mel! You look hott (yes, hott) in all those dresses. Almost makes me wish I'd been invited to 37 weddings this year. I'm not going to lie - I went to 3 weddings this summer and wore the same dress to all of them. Fashion faux pas! Whoopsie! Guess I won't be doing a wiww wedding edition!

And you rock the strapless dress. Why branch out? I didn't even notice until you said something about it!

  2. Ok. how cute it that? You were so on the wedding circuit. I have been off that circuit for a while so I have a wedding uniform, now. The same dress that gets pulled out. I don't even know what it is right now since i haven't been to one in a few years! Loved your F21 purple one. Darling, my friend. :)

  7. I loved the dress you wore to my wedding! So sad that it came apart. :( Yay for Modcloth's customer service though.

The striped dress for A&B's wedding is AWESOME.

  8. HA! And I was just feeling so jealous at your cute strapless numbers! My "girls" won't allow strapless and I always think strapless dresses are the bomb. You looked sensational in EVERY photo!

  9. You look cute in all of them! Great idea for a post. We had 4 weddings this year in which we were apart of 3 of them as groomsman, bestman, and matron of Honor. I might have to blog about them like you:)
