Ten on Ten: 10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}
It's the 10th of June!
Also known as my last day of school!!!!
Students finished yesterday and the last day for teachers was today.
Both girls slept in until after 8 today....let's hope they keep that up the rest of the summer!
(I can dream, right?!?!)
We had a staff breakfast to kick off our Teacher Work Day, and we celebrated the end of school with mimosas!

We had a staff breakfast to kick off our Teacher Work Day, and we celebrated the end of school with mimosas!
Then I headed back to school to clean up my classroom & take down projects from this year's students. This is a Tessellation project that I do the at the end of the school year:
Because the girls slept in so late, they didn't fall asleep during "room time", so per tradition, we headed into town to look at the Grad Night at a local high school:
When we got home, it was snack time. This is the girls favorite snack.
Apple slices, Ritz crackers and peanut butter with sprinkles on top.

While watering our garden, Kate & I noticed we have our very first tomato!
It's tiny & it's green....but that means tomatoes are on their way!

ReplyDeleteYay for tomatoes
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo!!! What a great way to kick off your summer. Your girls are so cute. Love that l'il bit fell asleep on the ottoman. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny ears! And my dad recently learned a trick for the tomato plants. He hangs red metal Christmas ornaments on the tomato plant and that way the bird thinks it is a red tomato and comes to peck at that but then flies off when he realizes he can't get anything. It has saved his green tomato from getting peck at.
ReplyDeleteYeah for the last day of school! I love summer too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on summer! I made strawberry jam last week. It's my favorite time of year. We've got a couple of green tomatoes too and I can't wait for them to turn red. I love the last photo. Gotta love sisters.
