May 18th is a big day in our house.
First & most importantly, it is Kevin's Birthday!
So thankful that he was born.
May 18, 2006 - 5 years ago.
I was "late". Kevin was at work.
I got home from school. I peed on a stick.
It was positive.
I wrapped it up as a present & gave it to Kevin for his birthday.
9 months later, Kate was born!
Kevin & I were able to celebrate his birthday (just the 2 of us) last night.
His mom offered to watch the girls overnight.
We went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants... The Cheesecake Factory!
It was so nice to go to dinner & re-connect just the 2 of us!
And, eat good food while doing so.
Avocado Egg Rolls for an appetizer. Oh my gosh. They are amazing.
I am all about the brown bread at Cheesecake. Yum!
I order the same meal every time.
Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp.
Usually, Kevin & I split it, but since it was his birthday, he decided to branch out & order something new (and, this allowed us to have leftovers for lunch today!)
He got the Jambalaya. It was good & spicy!
You can't go to Cheesecake Factory without getting cheesecake!
I got the Red Velvet.
Kevin got the Reeces Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake.
I only took a few bites & have the rest waiting in my fridge.
After dinner, we went to the Apple Store to check out the iPad 2.
Then, we went to Pac Sun to buy Kevin some summer clothes for our Disney Cruise this summer. If you know Kevin, you know he doesn't like to shop. At all. But, he hasn't gotten new summer clothes in 6 years (when we went to Cabo) All his summer clothes have holes & are in bad shape, so we got him a few new things!
The girls made him a picture & wanted to get him an orange tree
(we eat a lot of oranges in our house)
Tonight we are celebrated with his family & had dinner at his parents house.
Kevin requested my Cookies & Cream Oreo Cupcakes
for his birthday dessert!
But because the SJ Sharks are playing in the playoffs, I used Teal cupcake wrappers:
{Linking up the recipe to: Tatertots & Jello}
Yesterday I made a printable recipe card of the recipe:
{Just click on it, save it & print it out!}
Seriously, these cupcakes are good. So good.
Despite our festive Sharks colored cupcake wrappers, the Sharks got beaten badly tonight.
So thankful that he was born.

Happy Birthday, Kevin!
So thankful for who God has created you to be & that we get to share life together!
P.S. I wish I could have gotten you Sharks playoff tickets for your birthday, but they are too expensive. But, at least you got an orange tree!
